OEM's (device designers) need a trusted partner to make their ideas a reality. We manufacture designs provided by other companies, from prototype to production.
Armadillo Additive is proud to be ISO13485 certified and FDA registered. Our robust, all digital QMS was built from the ground up to meet the demands of additive manufacturing.
Cost is driven by material consumed and time on the machine. To minimize cost, try to reduce material and design for a low z height orientation.
2 Weeks. Rush orders are available on request.
Our brand-new facility finished construction in 2023. It was designed from the ground up to support a seamless additive workflow.
Yes!
We are a 3D printing service. Send us your files and we will get printing!
Yes! We utilize nTop, powerful lattice design software. Work with our team to develop a design that meets your needs.
While we aren't FDA consultants, we have been through the FDA approval process many times. We have validations ready to share and simplify the process.
Of course! Get in touch and we will get started.
The AddUp FormUp 350 printer leverages roller technology to help compact the powder bed. This allows us to push the boundaries of reduced-support printing compared to traditional blade based recoater systems. Combined with clever geometry and innovative support generation approaches, we can minimize supports and cost.
Speed, complexity, and accessibility are critical advantages of AM. Parts that are too difficult, costly, or require too many quantities to be machined efficiently with traditional methods can be perfect for 3D Printing.
An incredible strength to weight ratio, coupled with ultra high corrosive resistance make titanium highly desirable in many applications. Biocompatibility makes it the perfect fit for medical devices.
Grade 2 is also known as commercially pure Titanium. Grade 23 is a titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. Pure titanium has more elongation at break but a lower tensile strength than titanium alloy.
The AddUp FormUp 350 is fully equipped with next generation technology that leads the way in additive, such as roller recoating, a low O2 chamber, a large build volume, advanced build preparation software, and in depth build monitoring systems. Combined with Armadillo Additive's in house parameter set, results are remarkable.
Yes! We print parts for our customers that are actively used in the body.
We support most major cad file types. We also support most mesh file types, but .3mf is preferred. We work natively with Solidworks.
Yes. This makes it easy for you to approach the FDA using our process. You will still most likely need information from us to prepare your submission.
Price goes down dramatically as we fill the print bed. (350mmx350mm). QTY to fill the bed will vary by part, but in general, it is most economical to print QTY 10+ to get started.
Design for additive manufacturing. Avoid features smaller than .2mm. Avoid islands. Avoid overhangs steeper than 30 degrees. Consider making holes tear drop shapes.
